Culture and Cosmos

Culture and Cosmos is a peer-reviewed academic journal in the history of astrology and cultural astronomy published by the Sophia Centre Press in partnership with the Sophia Centre for the Study of Cosmology in Culture, Faculty of Humanitiies and the Performing Arts, at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David

Vol. 21 (2017) will be a double issue featuring papers based on the 2016 conference of the European Society for Astronomy in Culture. We are currently seeking submissions for future volumes of Culture and Cosmos.

This special double issue features a unique collection of papers on astrology and astral magic which are selected from those originally presented at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Sophia Centre conference on Celestial Magic in June 2013. The papers deal with the theory and practice of magic, including ritual, transformation and the ascent to the stars from the ancient word to the modern.
